The importance of having a Will

Everyone should have a Will, but many people leave writing one until they are almost 60. That’s probably why an estimated 40 million people in the UK don’t have a current Will in place (that’s 72% of UK adults). (1)

Are you one of them?

Making a Will and putting your affairs in order is probably the most crucial legal document you need to create in your life. It lays out what you want to happen to all your estate, protecting your assets for your loved ones when you are gone.

With no Will in place your inheritance could go to the wrong person, or worse, to the Crown (government).

Why do I need a Will?

If you don’t make a Will, you die intestate, and a court decides who gets your money, your assets, your home, the lot.

Making a Will puts your specific wishes down in writing in a legal and binding signed document. A Will ensures that:

  • You specify who benefits – and who doesn’t
  • Your spouse or civil partner doesn’t automatically inherit ALL of your estate if you don’t wish them to
  • Unmarried partners can inherit
  • Younger children and/or children from a previous relationship are provided for
  • Your Will is clearly written to avoid misunderstandings and possible contentions

Cost-effective Will writing for Hampshire and West Sussex

My Will writing service is efficient and cost-effective for anyone, regardless of the value of your estate. You don’t need to have millions in the bank or a massive mansion: a Will is about protecting whatever you have for those you love. That might include historic heirlooms or just your precious set of golf clubs, for example.

Writing a Will offers complete peace of mind that your wishes will be carried out and the people you want to benefit will benefit from it. So you can relax and live life to the full!
